Despite the overall sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) continuing to soar, possibly due to setting excessively high annual sales targets, most NEV manufacturers are currently far from achieving the "half the time, more than half the task" milestone. In contrast, a few traditional automakers that have released their half-year sales data have been quite impressive.

In the traditional camp, there are not many car companies that have announced sales results so far.

Among them, Chery Holding Group temporarily takes the lead in sales, and its sales growth is still mainly driven by exports and new energy, maintaining a high-speed growth trend. It has unlocked the milestone of one million vehicles in half a year, and the annual target sales completion rate has also exceeded 40%. Overall, this report card has a high gold content.Following closely, Geely Automobile also performed exceptionally well, with the most notable achievement being that it led other car manufacturers by achieving 50.3% of its sales target. Based on this, Geely Automobile is also the only car company to increase its full-year sales target, deciding to raise it by about 5%, from 1.9 million to 2 million vehicles.
In contrast to the aforementioned two, Great Wall Motor, also part of the independent camp, did not perform as brightly. Not only did its sales last month show a year-on-year decline, but its sales target completion rate was also less than 30%. However, fortunately, it achieved a positive year-on-year growth in the first half of this year.
Surprisingly, one joint venture car company also announced its sales performance early, that is Dongfeng Nissan. Against the backdrop of a general decline in Japanese joint venture brands, this Japanese joint venture car company still achieved a counter-trend increase in cumulative sales in the first half of the year. However, the official has not disclosed specific data.
